Hi, well here we are again. You will never believe this rollar coaster ride we are on trying to search for our daughter. Where is she? Betty our coordinator says that she is being very ellusive. So heres a recap of the last few days...
A new shared list came out last Thursday. We didn't get a match directly, so of course I scoured the list of waiting children and came up with about 4 girls we would be interested in. At the end of the day we had a 1st choice to lock in and a 2nd choice, although it wasn't that easy to decide which to ask first, but we had too. For some reason they won't let us take all 4!
Anyway turns out Friday morning none of the girls we asked for were available, and that the China staff would continue to monitor the list the next night in case any of them became unlocked. Saturday morning they are still not available. Well low and behold our coordinator Betty calls Saturday night around 9:00pm, "they have locked a little girl in for you, the one with the left hand difference" REallly? wow, okay so Saturday night and Sunday I do more research and feel like Yes we can handle her SN and we submit LOI to our agency. I go to bed excited, happy, relieved we are finished with this part of finding our daughter, ready for the next step to wait to go get her. I am happy I can go to work and actually get work done. yayyyyy!!
So I get to work this morning and Betty calls, turns out that there has been a mix up and the little girl we thought we were locking in is not, they both have the same initials. BUT she says, I think you will like this girl too! Of course I LIKE THEM ALL, just don't have all the money and time to handle all the SN's there are out there.
SO in the end, YES we would like to adopt her. She has Microphthalmia of the right eye, which means she may or may not be able to see out of it. She may need a prosthetic eye. But whatever may be will be. She is a cutie, but I am not posting pictures until we get PA.
So now we wait for PA.
